Albert Einstein once likened
knowledge to an expanding sphere of light. The greater its area, he said, the
more darkness there is left to explore.
Help a child explore the darkness.

Homework House is a non-profit organization working to help school-age children
in your community become better learners and better citizens.
For twelve years we've carried on with our mission with a sense of pride,
but also with urgency induced by alarming statistics about our schools and the
children they are entrusted to teach. The fact is, there's only so much that
the schools can do. That's why we're here.
Homework House is a house of caring volunteers who are willing to spend a few
hours a week with a child and provide supplemental academic and mentoring
assistance that they can't get anywhere else. We read to them, we guide them
along - we help them see glimpses of the world that we take for granted. We do
this because it is for the good of our community, but we also do this because
we know that if we don't do it, nobody else will.
Homework House is proud of its contribution to our community over the last
ten years. Our goal is to continue providing the kind of caring attention that can
turn even more lives around in the years
to come.
